Next Saturday April 21st at the Monona Terrace – join us for an upcycled fashion show! We’ve put together a unique line-up of upcycled, recycled, green & vintage clothing & accessories for this earth-friendly fashion show. The Isthmus all-day event starts at 9am til 5pm and features cooking demonstrations, eco-speakers and all sorts of local green goodness! Our fashion show will start at 12:45 on the main stage – admission is FREE, lots of family fun so stop by. You can also shop the looks you see in the show at our ZIP-DANG booth.

Love her work and look forward to showcasing more of her designs throughout the year.

Paula started working in papier mache and making handmade paper in 2008 and soon her experimenting with the materials morphed into jewelry making. She opened ‘eganaise’ in 2010 and found her designs popular in shops around Chicago. Each design comes from one of her original sketches. She works from a small studio out of our home that she shares with her husband.

These earrings are made out of thick paper. Resin is applied for durability and moisture resistance. Drop measures approx. 1/4″ x 3″ glossy finish. Each arrow is painted with acrylic paint, and another coat of resin applied. A fun and colorful accent, original design by Paula Egan of eganaise.

I cut up vintage 1950s magazines, children’s books and a great Vidal Sassoon book on hairstyles from the 60s. What a fun alternative to sewing, I’m pretty sure I’ll be spending lots of my free time cutting up old print! Notebooks range from $4-$18, stop in and peruse.
